The List

Those who know me know that I make lists. All the time, about everything. To do lists, shopping lists, present lists, plans lists, holiday lists, the 20th of January list – so I make a list of almost anything possible.Just to be on the safe side! I cannot imagine how you can survive without lists. I insist on using them and I joyfully tick off things done/realized/accomplished on it. A consequence of this is that my consumption of diaries is definitely well above the average – it’s lucky that I make diaries and calendars too. However, if I think about it it’s not purely luck…. Probably it’s more true to say that it’s no coincidence that I make diaries and calendars too.

In order not to dissapoint either you or myself I’ve written a list for this year, too and as I’ve promised in my end of year evaluation I’m going to share it with you. I can’t wait to start ticking off the items on the list, hopefully you are just as excited to see all the RothAniko new stuff.

Webshop
Oh yes, the webshop. It was already on my last year’s list, but unfortunately I was unabIe to tick it off. To tell you the truth it was a more ambitious project than I initially thought. We’ve already got one year’s work in it, but at last we’re near the finishing line. The fun starts in the spring, I can’t wait! Besides the fact that the future (ok, the present) is about all things online, I find it convenient and practical – actually I really enjoy this genre. Last spring was about my own showroom, this year it’s about my own webshop. Unstoppable development, don’t you think so?!

Paloma
Paloma also got on my list. We’ve been open for almost one year so I have to evaluate this period and decide which way to go forward. I would like it to be a real workplace, I plan to be here as much as possible, now I’m working on outlining the framework of it. The more people I work with the more managing the showroom needs, so it raises the question of if it’s the right job for me.

More paintings
Last year was about product development and the showroom, so I decided to put more emphasis on painting this year. I’m full of ideas wanting to be put on paper. I’m expanding the Big City Life collection and I plan to make three or four girly paintings for the Months Collection as well. I’d like to renew this series, only a couple of old characters will remain.

More time with Milos
A working woman. Well, this is a current topic for me as well. Obviously you must work. And if you have your own business you cannot stop for three years of maternity leave and then continue from where you left off. In addition to this if you are a creative person you won’t be able to stop. This is ok, but where’s the limit? How much time does a good mother spend with work and how much with her kid? You can lament on this but there’s a point when you have this feeling which overrides rationality. Now it’s the time for me when I’m sure I want to spend more time with my son than I did last year. He’s so great and cute and already so funny that I would like to make the most of this period. But don’t be afraid, dear customers, I won’t neglect you either!

Chocolate collaboration
Last year I showed you the water-colour paintings which were designed for the chocolate boxes. It was such a success that we are continuing the collaboration in 2016. I’ll show you when I’m finished with them.

The SECRET project
What I can tell you about the secret project is that it’s secret. In exchange I can tell you it’s very exciting, you’ll see it – I promise!

The new series
No, I don’t want to announce a new sitcom, but I’ll reveal a little bit of information about the new RothAniko design. As you may be used to by now it will be colourful and beautiful and all I can say is that coffee will have a starring role. More details coming up later on.
So these are the things on my list (this one) so far. And one more item, this blog to be finished – but I’m just ticking it off with great joy.:)
