Improve myself

This year I haven’t got too many posts yet, it’s a fact. Even I was surprised at how eventful the end of winter and spring were. Usually, at this period of the year I have time to relax and make plans. Compared to this I went to “school” in February because as it’s said learning as long as you live is always cool! Seriously, I did not have much free time in the last few months, not even have a chance to carry on blogging, but here I am again, and now I share my training experiences with you. Besides, I have a surprise for you, but let’s get back to it at the end, shall we?

So early this year, there was an opportunity what I took, I applied for a 2 month training course specifically for womenentrepreneurs, I was luckily chosen. (yeah!) While I was waiting for the result – in fact even a bit longer – I had been thinking a lot whether I should have taken it this time or just leave everything the way as it was, but then my friends convinced me about what a fool I would be if I missed such a big opportunity. Indeed, it would have been though I’m glad I went for it and I did it. I would have liked to develope my business for sure so it was perfect to get some help or guidance how to do so. The big truth is that creative people are not good at business, so in this area I need to improve myself. Then it was so encouraging that we spend at school just 2 days a week, but that 2 days seemed firstly easy peasy to do, eventually they turned into more demanding and tiring ones. I made a mistake as I did not think 2 days a week did matter so much, but it did so. I completely had to reorganize my life and my work. On one hand, I’m glad getting those 2 days back, but on the other hand I miss being there too, because it was great to concentrate on new things, to be in new company. I did not think of any reward, though, I met a couple of interesting people during the training and I made some new friends. I got on very well with an interior designer and it turned out how small the world is. We have common acquaitances, there are similar moments in our life. Then we got together with a cookiegirl, one of the owners of the Szelence Cafe, who is also doing very cool things (all vegan foods, not just cookies) and two other girls from Nógrád, they started a revolutionary new business in Hungary as they offer online assistant services. Firstly it doesn’t sound too exciting, but if you think a little bit further, you will find out how useful this service can be. Read about them here. So I’m really happy because everyone of them is talented and creative. I can imagine that later we have some business done together.

Sharing something professional I also liked that the training investigated all sort of fields of the business, which I haven’t ever done before. Although I have been doing business for 15 years. There are still some unclear areas that I have just started to understand though and I hope I will be completely familiar with them at some point. The biggest surprise was the final exam, by which I gained practice. A business plan had to be prepared and presented. I would have missed the latter one, but coming up with a business plan was exciting. Here comes the news mentioned previously. Yes! I LOVE my new product, and my exam work has been done on it’s process and introduction. Now, I’m just worried about your reactions, I wonder what they were be. It is brand new, something I did not have before: JEWELLERY! I think they will be fantastic! You still have to wait for them a few weeks, but as soon as they are done, I’ll tell you. Until then, look at the webshop, which celebrated it’s 1st birthday in the days !!! And of course you can come to Paloma, we are waiting for you with a renewed power and an excited mind! (1053 Budapest, Kossuth L. u. 14-16, opening hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 11 am to 7 pm)
