In the last five years, since I have been selling at the Christmas fairs, Advent have a lot different connotations for me than it had before. I am not saying that before I had been waiting for the holidays with holy reverence but I always tried to create a Christmas atmosphere in the flat, I figured out and purchased the gifts ahead in time and I even had the time with the girls to map the offers of Vörösmarty square – with special respect to the mulled wine supply.
The Vörömarty square remained but with a lot less mulled wine and with a lot more work. What of course I don’t mind. I like being out there, I like the lights, the smell, the colors, simply the atmosphere of the whole fair. And of course it is good to meet customers, to help them decide on the present that they feel the most suitable. Either for themselves or for their loved ones. I am not saying I have an easy job with men who sometimes stubbornly fail to comprehend why their partner has been repeating it for the fourth times already (!) how beautiful this bag is… But even they are not hopeless cases, with a little guiding assistance they realize that destiny had mercy on them, the Christmas gift idea was given and it is worth coming back to my stand for that very bag. So I myself also experience the christmassy feeling but in a little bit different way. I do not have so much time for the preparations at home but by the time Christmas Eve comes somehow I also get into the festive mood, and so does my flat and I even succeed in purchasing the gifts. Come and visit me at the Vörösmarty Square until 29th December (every day between 10 a.m.-8 p.m., look for stand No. 16/C) or at the Advent WAPM Fair events (on two more forthcoming Sundays this year, on 13th, 20th December) and beside checking out the DesignbyRothAniko products you can also check out what point I reached in the festive mood acquisition at the very moment. Of course you are welcomed at the Paloma center too in my Showroom and not only at Christmas time but next year too. (1053 Budapest, 5th District, Kossuth Lajos str. 14-16., courtyard, first floor, Room 6., open: Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday: 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.)
My advent calendar is a thousand year old piece, it is from way back from my silk-painting period, I just happened to find it this year. Well, the colors are yet to finish, but I like it like this, who knows, maybe I will paint it next year
The Advent-wreath at my place features „only” one candle and I purchase it every year from Ági Szántó
Christmas lights are the best things on the Vörösmarty square
Last touches, everything is set at WAMP Fair…
…so that you can rummage through the counter taking your choice
That very bag
